Alright! Back to sewing, and I’ve got a deadline coming up. The 1920’s-themed Shunpike auction is October 11th, and I need to finish my skirt and top. I got all the pattern pieces made for the skirt, cut them out, and then cut my sequin fabric.
The sequin fabric had a few small tears in it, perhaps from just being stuffed in my bags o’ fabric, so I hand-stitched them shut.
I also purchased some gold material for the underskirt, and gold stretch fabric for the waistband. I then hand-stitched the outer (sequin) skirt, because hand-stitching seemed like the best way to go after reading all the warnings about using my machine for sequins.
I’ll post updates soon!
